Cholera tribute plaque

The Alhambra Society commemorates Catholic historical sites.  This plaque was created to recognize the Daughters who nursed at Philadelphia General Hospital during the cholera epidemic of 1832.

PRESENTED BY ORDER OF THE ALHAMBRA IN GRATEFUL MEMORY OF THE HEROIC DAUGHTERS OF CHARITY ST. VINCENT DEPAUL WHO NURSED THE POOR PATIENTS IN THIS HOSPITAL DURING THE CHOLERA EPIDEMIC IN ANNO DOMINI 1832
