September 30 - Sr. Visitatrix received word from Austin that an epidemic of Influenza has broken out among the soldiers there, that the Government has rented a house across from Seton Infirmary and built tents for the patients. More Sisters are needed there and three will be sent to them tomorrow - Sisters Regina Purtell, from Indianapolis, Aurelia Perrault from Sherman and Gervase Porter from here.
Sister Visitatrix left just before noon for Alton and on her way to the Station received a letter from Sr. Dolores Gillespie, in Milwaukee, where Influenza has broken out among the Nurses. Three of the Sisters, also, are ill and Sister ask<es> for prayers.
